Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (Certificate)
Develops skills and knowledge to use oxygen, airway management devices, and automated external defibrillators during resuscitation, and to administer oxygen to conscious or unconscious breathing causalities.
Apply (Senior) First Aid
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to manage emergency first aid situations until professional medical support is available. This course is recognised by WorkCover NSW.
Spinal Management
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to manage injured casualties with suspected spinal injuries in an aquatic environment and in emergency situations.
Silver Medallion Advanced Emergency Care
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to manage multifaceted emergency situations in an advanced manner.
Inflatable Rescue Boat Crewperson Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively crew an Inflatable Rescue Boat in surf rescue operations. Silver Medallion Inflatable Rescue Boat Driver Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively drive and manage an Inflatable Rescue Boat in surf rescue operations. Rescue Water Craft Operator Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively drive and manage a Rescue Water Craft in lifesaving operations.
Bronze Medallion / Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) Provides participants with the knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to manage a beach in emergency and non-emergency situations. Gold Medallion Provides participants with advanced skills and knowledge to manage emergency situations in autonomous situations.
Training Officer Certificate Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver quality training of SLS awards. Assessor Certificate Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to competently assess SLS awards. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to facilitate quality training of SLS awards.
Surf Survival Provides participants with an understanding of the surf environment and an introduction to rescue techniques and first aid in order to be able to safely enjoy surf activities. Surf Rescue Certificate Provides participants with the knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in basic lifesaving operations. This course is also the minimum water safety qualification for Junior Activity supervision. Radio Operator Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform basic communication practices.
